Simple idea to get Facebook likes Featured
Fun app works as announcement, countdown or invitation
As a mother & hopefully a grandmother some day this app is near and dear to my heart. It includes some very personal elements. The knitted background image (one of 10 available choices) was actually knitted by my own mother! I shot the photo myself (with a Sony AS10 macro setting), see image #1. Mom has always loved to knit & crochet (like her mother) so this was an area where the two of us could set aside our mostly, rocky relationship. She was 16 when I was born, my father 15. Two years later they had my brother. Knitting & crocheting has always been a favorite past time of hers. A talent she taught & passed on to my two daughters. Photo #2 demos the ability for customers to load their own photos. Photo #2 is the actual hospital photo of my youngest daughter who is now in her 20's.

QUEENS OF SHARKS - Shark Tank that is...
Using Who Twarted, I learned that Barbara Corcoran & Lori Greiner, two women entrepreneurs from ABC's "Shark Tank" both follow, the following 20 people. In other words, they have 20 people whom they follow in common. i.e., they're both interested in the 20 people/twitter accounts on this list.

If interested, I could save these results in a list, or I could sort the list by location and save only the users in a certain location to my list. The image below shows users followed by the two Shark Tank queens, sorted in descending order by number of followers. Jimmy Fallon, and his 8 million plus fans is the largest twitter account followed by both Ms. Corcoran & Ms. Greiner.
GLASS TWEILING
Interesting to me, there is only 3 women on this list. Between Lori & Barbara; they are collectively only interested in 3 women (and all 3 are celebrities). Is there a Glass Tweiling? Does one have to have balls or be on tv to be of interest to top women entrepreneurs? It's kind of funny, I tweally mean it! A social glass tweiling? I'm not throwing stones ladies, I'm a huge fan. It's only an observation. Look at the 26 people that both Mark Cuban & Daymond John follow in common. There's 3 women on that list, 2 of which are Lori & Barbara, and a 3rd named Litter SF. The second screen shot (image 2) is from http://www.AzulSocial.com (an alternative to Hootsuite) and it also shows that 331 people follow both Kathy Meyer & Kim Lavine. This list is sorted by the number of followers. What does that mean? That means, this screen shot depicts the most influential follower of both Kathy & Kim. Turns out it's the President of the United State Barack Obama with his 2770668 followers! Needless to say, many people follow Barack Obama on Twitter!

Yesterday, I placed by voice controlled game in Google's android market.
It's not the first voice controlled android game, but it is ONE of the first! Looking through thousands of apps, I saw only 3 others.
The game, titled "Don't Pop it" features a bright red balloon, controlled by the players voice.
On Google Play, click here.
Players must avoid the flying thumb tacks to get points. Pass more tacks, get more points. Thumb tacks fly faster the more you pass.
This simple game is really fun and it's available NOW in Google Play. I hope you'll help me spread the word.

Tribute to Chris Kyle

My husband, retired police officer (tac team sniper) is a huge Chris Kyle fan. We had the opportunity to lay eyes on him at a local Constable's event a couple years ago. My husbands not a talkative guy, so simply seeing Mr. Kyle with his own eyeballs made him very happy.
As a tribute to Chris Kyle, I created this game. If Mr. Kyle's family agrees, I'd like to sell it in the android & iphone markets & give a portion of each sale to the estate.

Chief Chris Kyle (USN, honorably discharged in 2009) is one of the top snipers in the history of the American armed forces. From 1999 to 2009, he recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. Chief Kyle is author of The New York Times number one bestselling book "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History."
Chris Kyle had the dream of forming Craft upon completion of his last enlistment so that he could continue to serve this great nation by helping those headed into harm's way. When he founded Craft, he pulled together a remarkable team who share in his vision to provide the best training to those who need it the most.
Chris Kyle was murdered Feb 2, 2013.

Open an online store - it's so easy!
You too can create an online store
I had to check it out & see if I could do it myself, after I purchased Payload Games, an auto updating video game site.
Yesterday I built 2.
The first is Stacy Bakes Cakes. An online shop that sells bakeware., cake pans, cupcake pans, decorating tools, etc.
The second is Kennedale Racing (a old domain I'd once used to compliment a printed publication that still gets alot of traffic). It's a now a car parts store! It features Performance parts and accessories; stuff like air filters, spark plugs, engine parts...
Set it up
Amazon makes it easy. To get started, login to your Amazon affiliate account. Click on "astore," then "add a new store."
Then follow the instructions for selecting the products or categories you wish to sell. For my sites, I choose amazon categories. You'll be presented with pick and choose options for colors and layout. That's it! Your store is built. Now all you've got to do is drive traffic and customers to your store.
To get started share the link of your store, or embed the link provided by amazon in your site/page.

Share the news
This is the hardest part but here's a few suggestions:
- Get on social media. Create social media sites for the store and invite your friends and colleagues
- Advertise online. I've got a suite of about 12 sites and I run reciprocal banners on all of them. If you'd like to run your banner on my site of sites, a 468x60 pixel banner is required along with $25 per month.
- Advertise in print. Currently I'm running a classfied ad in a local college newspaper, not sure how effective it is just yet.
- Direct mail marketing. Create postcards & mail them to your customers. You can also use the artwork in email marketing.
- Email marketing - ask a friend to swap email ads with you. Speaking of that - Interested in swapping ads with me? Or I can send an email for you.
Who'd ever thought I'd be selling cake pans, video games & car parts? LOL!
